Architecture and tradition

The region of Wallachia is very rich because of its traditional architecture, traditions and art.

In the traditional architecture there is asserted the aesthetic. It is seen for example by the replacing of the wooden churches, for example in Velké Karlovice.

There are also some brownstone houses in Velké Karlovice or the estate in Nový Hrozenkov. There are some town wooden buildings and some of them are very artless conserved. Rarely there appear the painting.

The house number 3 on the Upper Square in Vsetín is the original mansion from 1710. It served like the flats, hospital, there was the private school and the salt production. Like the memorability there is also protected the house of the original loan with some sgraphits according to the Mikoláš Alš´s design. In the centre of the Down Square there is the stone cross from 1775 which stood in Janová and there was signed the water level of the river Bečva by the floods in 19 centrury.

In Hovězí belongs to the memorabilities the stone statue of Jan Nepomucký from 1712. Very valuable is also not so large singlestorey castle which arised in 1681. By the church in Halenkov there is situated the metal cross with the year 1778 and the sign of Illesházy.

In Nový Hrozenkov belong to the monumental buildings except the church two cottages in the centre of the community. One of them is a monument of the painter Antonín Strnadel.

In Karolinka there are the most valuable the buildings in Raťkov.

The Karlovské museum is situated in the original house and shows the picture of the people´s living in this area. To the memorabilities belongs the church from 1754. In Velké Karlovice we can find a lot of village chappels and crosses, for example Boží muka in the centre of the community, the chappel Podťaté, the chappel in Jezerné, the chappel and the cross in Leskové, the stone cross by the church, the belfry behind Miloňov and the next.
